Speech coaches, Mrs. Erica Schnepel and Mrs. Matt Hansmann enjoy leading our amazing students in speech.

Thirteen large groups participated at district contest at Thomas Jefferson High School on January 21, 2023. Twelve of the 13 groups received a 1 rating and are moving on to the state contest on February 4th at Waukee High School. The groups moving on include One-Act Play, Readers Theatre, 2 Ensemble Acting Groups, 3 Short Films, Television News, 3 Improvisation groups, and 1 Musical Theatre. 

The 12 groups that are moving on will be practicing for the public on Monday, January 30 at 6 PM in the performing arts center at Treynor High School. Plan to join the speech team in preparing for the state contest and wish them the best of luck. A free-will donation will be taken to support future speech events.
