SCHOOL NEWS

Boys and Girls State Track: Congratulations to our athletes and coaches on a great performance at SQM in Treynor Thursday night. We have a long list of state qualifiers to celebrate as well as a district win by both teams! Our website article has the list of athletes, full timing system results, state t-shirt order form link (order due by Monday at 8:00 am) and links to the state track websites. Good luck to all at state next week!

School Supply Kit Ordering is Live If you want to order school supply kits that will be delivered to the school in the fall before the new year begins, click here to get your order in. This service is brought to you by Junior Treynor Women and School Kidz. The school code for Treynor is 10056. The order deadline is June 21st.

Summer Camps webpage has been posted as a site to check out for activities happening in and around our school this summer. Check back often as coaches submit their information. Keep in mind that camps usually have registration deadlines to guarantee t-shirts.

Winter 25-26 Highlights Article was recently published which features a long list of accomplishments that took place in our district during the winter months. Read the newsletter here and celebrate what a great school we have!

Classroom Grants for the 26-27 school year have been awarded to six recipients from the 16 that applied. These grants are made possible through the non-profit Treynor Community Foundation Classroom Grants program.  Read more on this web article about the six recipients and how they plan to use their grant to supplement learning in their classroom next school year.

Classroom Grant Donations can be made throughout the year and your tax deductible contribution will be put toward future projects. Donate to the classroom grant fund so we can help even more teachers in the future!

Last Day of School for Students will be May 28th with a 2:00 dismissal.

ACT Test Options are available in June and July. It is recommended that juniors take the ACT this spring or summer. Go to myact.org to register for the test. Select “paper option”.

COMMUNITY NEWS

Vietnam Wall Replica and Motorcade will be passing through Treynor on Wednesday, May 20th at approximately 2:35. People are encouraged to line Highway 92 and wave flags or other greetings as they come through town. They will be traveling from east to west. Refer to the flyer for more details about the Wall that Heals project.

Treynor Blood Drive is scheduled for Thursday, June 11th from 11:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Treynor Community Center. Call 1-800-733-2767 or visit Redcrossblood.org and enter TreynorIowa to schedule an appointment. Streamline your donation experience and save 15 minutes by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass to complete your pre-donation reading & health questions on the day of your appointment.

Attention Parents/Guardians with students in the class of 2031 and 2032: The link is open for registration for the DC trip! The registration is due on June 1st, 2026 for the trip in 2027 . Sports Trainer’s Schedule: Josh Bintz training room hours for 2025 will be Mondays 3:00-4:30pm and Thursdays 7:30-9:00am.  Injury reports will still be going out regularly via email but as always, feel free to message me with any questions or concerns!

  • To purchase an Activity Pass or game-day passes, go to Treynor's GoBound Ticket Page. While entry gates will have card readers available, pre-purchasing your digital tickets will speed up the process.

Bus Transportation is for students who have been assigned a bus through the transportation department and routinely ride to and/or from school.  For bus management and student safety, students are only allowed to ride their assigned bus.

The speed limit in the school zone on Highway 92 is 25 mph during times when the lights are flashing. The school zone is highlighted in red below. These lights flash in the morning from 7:40 - 8:20 a.m. and in the afternoon from 3:20-3:50 p.m. (1:50-2:20 p.m. on 2:00 p.m. dismissal days). NOTE: The crosswalk flashing is managed by the City of Treynor.
