A Note from the Superintendent
The purpose of this message is to inform you that I am resigning as the Treynor Superintendent effective June 30, 2022. I have accepted a position at the University of Iowa as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Educational Leadership program. I will be teaching and training future principals, superintendents, and other education leaders. I am looking forward to playing a part in the next generation of school leaders! My wife and I will also be closer to family who live in the Iowa City area. We will enjoy having the grandchildren close to us.
The Board will now begin the process to hire a new superintendent, and I will work closely with them to ensure a smooth transition. You will receive more information and updates in the near future. Great things are happening at the Treynor Community School, and the district is poised to continue on its path of excellence! It has been an honor to serve as superintendent for the last three years. I wish the district nothing but the best!
Dr. Mark Hopkins
