NHS Inducts New Members

All NHS MembersNational Honor Society inducted 31 new members into the Treynor chapter on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Treynor High School. The ceremony took place in the auditorium with Jack Stogdill giving the welcome, Clarissa Weitzel presenting the purpose and Tyler Pollock giving the history of NHS. Luke Mieska, Derrick Thompson, Craig Chapman and Emily Morse presented the four basic qualifications which are scholarship, character, leadership and service. Kennedy Elwood introduced the evening's speaker, Jane Leick. The selections were announced by Jake Fisher and Black Sadr, while Tori Castle led the NHS pledge. Congratulations to all the current and new members.
The NHS Pledge is:
"I pledge myself to uphold the high purposes of the National Honor Society to which I have been elected, serving in every way, by word and deed, to make its ideals the ideals of my school, and of my life."
