L to R: Clarissa, Sarah and AdrienneThe Treynor Optimist Club held an essay contest in January. The topic for 2019 was "When All the World's Problems are Solved, is Optimism Still Necessary?". The essays were required to be an original, typed, and at least 700 words but not more than 800 words. The top three essay winners are awarded medals with lanyards from the Optimist Club and their essays will be sent to the Iowa District Optimist state-wide contest. This year's winners are: Clarissa Weitzel (1st), Sarah Gann (2nd) and Adrienne Suglia (3rd).
