The Treynor Individual Speech team traveled to Shenandoah High School on Saturday, February 26 for competition. 19 students performed 23 pieces at district contest. 15 students (18 performances) received a one-rating and will be moving on to state contest at ADM High School on Saturday March 12. More information will be released at a later day for this event.

The individual speech team includes Payton Chapman, Sara Hudgell, Lily Tiarks, Korbin Horton, Kasey Lang, Rafe Gayer, Maisy Wasenius, Addy Schnepel, Mira Dreyer, Sadie Schaaf, Allie Houser, Emma Hansen-Stearns, Lauren Kalstrup, Mia Harter, Emma Miller, Monica Osborn, Kallie Danker, Evelynne Church, and Nathaniel Biederman. The speech team is coached by Jill Davis, Travis Graham, Diana Crouch, Erica Schnepel, and Matthew Hansmann.

This coming Sunday, the 6th of March, the Treynor Speech team will be hosting an afternoon of speech events. This will begin at 2 PM in the theater. This is a great opportunity to come out and see the students that will be performing at state contest the following Saturday. A free-will donation box will be placed at the entrance along with programs for the event. Please come out and support the team as this is one of our major fundraising events for the year!
