NHS Inducts New Members
National Honor Society inducted 28 new members into the Treynor chapter on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Treynor High School. The ceremony took place in the auditorium with Abigail Fenn giving the welcome, Isabelle Kudron presenting the purpose and Sydney Carman giving the history of NHS. Adrienne Suglia, Jordan Finnegan, Alex Lowe and Noel James presented the four basic qualifications which are scholarship, character, leadership and service. Kyle Christensen introduced the evening's speaker, Mr. Jeff Schoening. Alora Nowlin and Allison Green then announced the selections. Megan Carley led the pledge and Hannah McIntyre was the pianist for the event. Congratulations to all the current and new members.
The NHS Pledge is:
"I pledge myself to uphold the high purposes of the National Honor Society to which I have been elected, serving in every way, by word and deed, to make its ideals the ideals of my school, and of my life."
