They performed their field routine in the afternoon and received 1st place in their class. Wynn Keller received an award for outstanding marcher and Madelyn Deitchler received an award for best solo on her saxophone.

On Saturday, October 6th, after two days of rain, the annual Loess Hills Marching Band competition was moved indoors at Glenwood. The band received 1st place in Class 1A, took Top Drum Line honors, and was named Best Overall Band of the Festival. Outstanding job!

The band will be performing their full routine during halftime of the Friday, October 13th Treynor/IKM-Manning football game.

And, on October 18th at the State Marching Band competition in Glenwood, Cardinal Vanguard performed and received a I rating. This is the 27th consecutive I rating for the band.
