Monica Osborn, an 8th Grader at Treynor Middle Schol, earned second place for her short story. The contest was sponsored by Midlands for Iowa Reading Council.
Back in February, we had our local Invention Convention and sent 4th graders Ella Minahan, Eli Yochum and Carolyne Jorgensonon to the virtual State Convention. The inventions were recently judged at the state level, and the winners were announced for those moving on to the National Convention. While all of them are winners to us, we would like to offer an extra congratulations to Carolyne for her "Ring Around the Dog Collar" advancing to the National Convention.
