I am the new 5th grade teacher at Treynor Elementary. This year is my fifth year of teaching, my first four years were spent teaching 4th grade. Three of those years were in a small town in Elk Point, SD and last year in Council Bluffs, IA. I am also an assistant volleyball coach at the high school. My husband Andrew, daughter Rori (3) and I moved to Treynor last year. We love living in town and I am so excited to officially be a Cardinal and a part of the Treynor Community School District!

I grew up in Gretna, NE then moved to Vermillion, SD to attend college and play volleyball at the University of South Dakota. My family and I still like to visit South Dakota to go to USD games, as well as travel to the Black Hills. I enjoy being outside, spending time with my family, and watching or playing sports as often as possible. Playing sand volleyball and golfing were two of my bigger hobbies over the summer this year.

My drive to become a teacher came from many teachers and coaches during my time in school. They made a huge impact in my life and kept me motivated to be the best version of myself in the classroom and on the court, and it is my goal to have the same influence on my students and athletes. I love being a part of a smaller district because I feel it is such a tight knit community, and I love everything about that!!
