Homecoming 2016

Homecoming Court Candidates are: Front Row, L-R: Anna Tiegland, Emily Owens, Abby Tiarks, Randi Robinson and Sierra Maguire. Back Row, L-R: Walker Wilson, Sam Gregory, Kyle Wesley, Griffin Kline and Cameron Graber.

Homecoming is Friday, September 30th with a "Super Heroes" theme. Many activities are scheduled throughout the week, including the parade, community pep rally, carnival, combine, supper and game on Friday. And, to get you ready for the big day, the cheerleaders will be selling spirit items Monday through Thursday at the elementary starting at 2:45 (see list of items being sold here). Middle School & High School students can see Mrs. Reed in study hall Monday through Wednesday.

Dress-Up Days (Elementary/Middle School/High School):

Monday:  Dress Like a Superhero

Tuesday @ MS/HS:  Ugly Christmas Sweater
Tuesday @ Elem:  Color Day (K-Purple, 1st-Blue, 2nd-Green, 3rd-Yellow, 4th-Orange, 5th-Red)

Wednesday:  Beach/Hawaiian

Thursday:  Nerd

Friday:  Spirit Day (Red/White)

Hats or head wear (no masks) may be worn but must be part of the dress up theme for that day. Please be sure the way you dress follows the proper guidelines for modesty, morality and shows respect for others. 

 

Friday, September 30th Schedule (some times are approximate)

8:25-1:00

During the morning hours, each building has their own schedule of events.

High School Schedule of Events can be found hereHigh School students will be dismissed at 11:30 if a completed permission slip is returned with their parent/guardian's signature. Students shall promptly leave school grounds and not return until the pep rally. The permission slip will be emailed to each student and should be returned to student's Card Pride teacher. Students who do not return the permission slip are expected to stay at school until the school day is complete with lunch being served. 

Lunch will be from 11:34-11:54 for 6th Grade Students in the MS Commons. 8th Graders and remaining HS students will eat in the HS Commons. 7th Grade students will eat lunch from 11:58-12:18 in the MS Commons.

MS Students will go to Card Pride rooms when not eating lunch and remaining HS students will remain in the HS Commons after lunch. At 12:40, students will be escorted to pep rally. Middle School Schedule of Events can be found here.

Elementary lunch will be served as normal and students will leave at 12:35 to head to the Athletic Complex for the pep rally. Parents are being asked to sit in the parent section so elementary students can sit with their classmates & teachers.

NFL Combine for K-5th Grade located in complex. Please pre-register for NFL Combine. See the flyer for all the details or visit the Facebook events page

6th-8th Grade students can participate in games & movie time in the MS Commons.

4:30-6:00

Homecoming Supper sponsored by the Jr. Class Post-Prom Committee in the HS Commons. Get a pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, chips, dessert & drink for $10 or a hot dog, chips, dessert & drink for for $5.

7:00 

Football game vs. Guthrie Center/Adair-Casey.
Crowning of King & Queen will be done at half-time of the game.

*Parade will be organized in the athletic complex visitor parking lot, will head north on Eyberg Ave. and proceed east on HWY 92 / Main St.  Parade floats will end up on Elementary Drive where students will be dismissed.  Once students are dropped off, floats may be stored behind the elementary, but need to be moved from Elementary Drive for bus pickup.  Floats that do not have elementary students may continue down HWY 92 to find a place to turn around.

(In case the parade is not held due to inclement weather, school will dismiss at 2:00 and the pep rally will be held in the west gym. Busses would run at the completion of pep rally)


Saturday, October 1st:  High School Homecoming Dance in the MS Commons. 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. Cost is $5 for couple and $3 for single.

Students that leave the dance will not be allowed to return. If you have a date that is not a THS student, a Visitor Permission Form must be on file before the end of the day on Thursday, September 29th. This form should be picked up and returned to the High School Office. Middle School students and individuals over the age of 20 are not allowed to attend THS dances.
