Launch the media gallery 1 playerPlease congratulate our student award-winners. Our students won eleven of the writing awards in the Scholastic Midwest Regional Writing competition. Students who received awards were: Emily Sutherland, Rachel Mejstrik, Griffen Kline, Mitchell Griffin, and Allison Young. They should be very proud. They ranged from the top 5% to the top 15% of all entries. The awards given were:
Emily Sutherland – Gold Key critical essay; Honorable Mention critical essay; Silver key critical essay; 2 Honorable Mentions personal essay/memoir; Writing Portfolio honorable mention
Mitchell Griffin – Honorable Mention humor
Rachel Mejstrik – Honorable Mention personal essay/memoir; Honorable Mention short story
Allison Young – Honorable Mention poetry
