School Schedule for State Volleyball
Congratulations to the volleyball team as they move on to State!
On Wednesday, November 7, 2018, the Cardinals will meet Western Christian at 2:00 P.M. at the U.S. Cellular Center, located at 370 1st Avenue NE in Cedar Rapids. There will be no school that day.
- There are no advance sales of tickets. They must be purchased at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.
- If you are unable to attend, you can watch live at the IGHSAU Digital Network Channel.
- If a student wants to ride the pep bus, the fee is $20, which includes the ticket; students must be signed up in the MS/HS office by noon on November 6.
- There will be a walk of fame at the elementary school at 3:10 P.M. on Monday, November 5, 2018.
- A community/school celebration of the team’s accomplishment and send off will take place on Monday, November 5, at 7:00 P.M. in the West Gym!
- A walk of fame will occur at the middle/high school on Tuesday, November 6 before the assembly in the west gym.
- The team heads for Cedar Rapids after school on November 6.
- Directions and parking information is available at http://uscellularcenter.
com/directions-and-parking/ - This day will count as one of our snow days that have been included in the school calendar.
If/When the Cardinals’ march continues through the state brackets, they will play the winner of the Tri-Center-Sidney game at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 8 in Cedar Rapids. There will be school until 11:00 A.M. No lunch will be served. If we are not in the November 8 game, we will have a regular school day.
If/When the Cardinals continue to win, the team will be in the championship on Friday, November 9, at 4:45 P.M. in Cedar Rapids. There will be school until 11:00 A.M. No lunch will be served. If we are not in the November 9 game, we will have a regular school day.
Naturally, we wish our team good luck – but we know it is their skill and desire that will win the matches, with support from all of us!
