Treynor 6-12 School Counselor

Hello, I am Danie Floerchinger, the 6-12 school counselor at Treynor Community Schools.

I have eight years of school counseling experience at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I love being a school counselor because of the individual and small group time I have with students. I also enjoy working with students and parents to identify coping skills and solutions to problems.

I studied Youth Ministry at Northwestern College before completing my Master's degree in K-12 School Counseling at Wayne State College. I have seen the value of education at every level and hope to guide students toward postsecondary education or training that is right for them.

As for my family, my husband is Alex Herrington, and he is a high school science teacher here at Treynor. We have three living daughters, Raya, Lexi, and Lenna, and one son, Ronan, who was stillborn at 38 weeks. We love our kids so much! We currently live on an acreage outside of Treynor.
