Friday, September 16th Schedule
8:00 Elementary, Middle and High School have their own activities in the morning.
11:30 High school students with approval will be dismissed and should promptly leave school grounds.
11:30 Middle School and remaining high school students will eat lunch and stay with teachers.
11-1 Burgers, brats & hot dogs @ Zion. See flyer.
1:00 Pep Rally at Athletic Complex. Please refer to the Pep Rally 2022 seating document for section assignments.
1:45 Parade Begins (route will run west to east, with floats lining up in the football field south visitor parking lot. Elementary floats will park and line up in St. Paul parking lot here. (MS-HS Homecoming sub-themes and mottos)
**Busses will leave immediately after parade**
3:00 K-5th Grade Boys & Girls Combine Event by Cardinal Core at the HS Athletic Complex. See the flyer for details.
7:00 Football game at athletic complex. Treynor will play against West Monona.
**If there is inclement weather, the parade will be canceled and we will have an adjusted schedule. The Pep Rally would be at 2:00 in the West Gym, including Coronation. Busses would run at the completion of the Pep Rally**
Dress-Up Days & Decorating
Students will be taking part in Homecoming week events at school, such as hall and door decorating. Students and staff are encouraged to take part in the dress-up days during the week. See the flyer for Elementary Dress-up Days.
Dress-Up Days:
- Monday, September 12th
- MS & HS: The Beach Boys - Beach Day
- Elementary: Beach Day - Dress in a lei or Hawaiian shirt/skirts
- Tuesday, September 13th
- MS & HS: Country Roads - Country Vs. Country Club
- Elementary: Western Day - Dress in western attire like cowboy boots or plaid shirts
- Wednesday, September 14th
- HS: Anything but a Backpack Day
- MS: Anything but a Pencil Case Day
- Elementary: Class Color Day - Dress in your assigned class color for a school-wide picture.
- KDG-Purple; 1st-Blue; 2nd-Green; 3rd-Yellow; 4th-Orange; 5th-Red
- Thursday, September 15th
- MS & HS: Stayin' Alive - Disco/70's Day
- Elementary: Decade Day - Pick a decade to dress in! See flyer for ideas
- Friday, September 16th
- All Grades: Homecoming Spirit Day - Wear red & white to support your Cardinals
Hats/head-wear may be worn but must be part of the dress-up theme for the day. Please be sure the way you dress follows the proper guidelines for modesty, morality and shows respect for others.
High school students will take part in a contest between classes where points are given for hall decorations, class motto originality, float quality, percentage of students participating in dress up days and Friday morning activity results. Points will be awarded in each area as follows: 1st place 3 points, 2nd place 2 points, 3rd place 1 point and 4th place 0 points. A group of community members will judge the floats, class mottos and halls. The results will be announced at the Pep Rally.
King & Queen will be crowned during half-time of the football game
Saturday, September 17th
What: Homecoming Dance for 9th-12th Grade Students
Time: 7:30-10:00 p.m.
Location: Middle School Commons
Cost: $5 for couple; $3 for single
Pre-order your Homecoming Spirit Items from the Treynor Cardinal Cheerleaders. All orders must be turned in by September 8th with payment. Download your order form here and return with check made payable to Treynor Cheer to the Elementary Office or Nicole Reed in the MS/HS.
