Accounting

 

 

This year in Accounting we will be focusing on the Accounting Process from starting a business to being able to record financial records.  Students will learn how to :

●       Start a Proprietorship

●       Analyze transactions into debit and credit parts

●       Create a worksheet

●       Journalizing Transactions

●       Financial Statements for a Proprietorship

●       Cash control systems

●       Recording, adjusting, and closing entries for a business

●       Posting to a general ledger, special journals, subsidiary ledgers

 

 

               Expectations from Mrs. Behrendt

 

To help the class run smoothly, the following rules apply:

  • When the bell rings I expect all students to be in their seats and ready
  • Come to class prepared, no locker or restroom passes.  If you need to go prior to class and are going to be late please come to my room first and let me know
  • Be polite and respectful.  Manners are a MUST
  • Do not line up at the door when class is over.  Remain in your seats until the bell rings.
  • Absolutely no cell phones or headphone
  • Turn assignments in on time, if you are absent it is your responsibility to complete the work within 2 class days.
  • Ask questions if you do not understand
  • Class Participation
  • If you are absent on the day we take a test you will need to take the test on the first day back.
  • No food or drink
  • Have a positive attitude, leave your gossip outside the door
  • Academic Dishonesty will not be tolerated and will result in a zero
    • This includes both parties if cheating or sharing work

 

Grading Criteria:

  • This class will be graded as 60% Tests, 10% Quizzes, and 30% Daily Work and Projects
  • Late work will be reduced 10% per day.  After 3 days the grade will default to a zero.
