A huge thank you is in order to the Junior Treynor Women and everyone who purchased items to fundraise for the new robotics equipment. Over $1500 was raised to help purchase these kits. "I am so excited for students to experience learning about such an important subject with high quality equipment and curriculum. Robotics play such a vital role in the healthcare, automotive, and manufacturing industries. Building curiosity and skills in this subject matter will set students up for future success", stated Alex Herrington, High School Physical Science and Computer Science Teacher.
The fundraiser went toward the purchase of five VEX robotic sets and competition arena. VEX has a full set of curriculum available to teachers and students. Click on the picture slideshow to the right to see some students in action building their robots for an upcoming Robotic Freeze Tag Competition.
