The Pottawattamie County Community Foundation presented seven Treynor seniors with scholarship checks today at Treynor High School. Each recipient will receive $14,000 for their higher education following graduation. Introduction of today's speakers Donna Dostal, PCCF President and Connie Casson, PCCF Board Member, was done by Mrs. Danie Floerchinger, MS/HS Counselor. These scholarships are made possible by a $5 million endowment to the Foundation by the late Rick Wenninghoff, with the money earmarked for scholarships to the students of Treynor and Underwood. Mr. Wenninghoff was a Treynor High School graduate and his daughter was an Underwood graduate. He stated his gift "was about wanting to create an endowment fund that would continue to benefit future generations".
