Spanish Breakout EDU
This is the piece of art they studied before this Breakout EDU session and the scenario was to save this artwork from being sold at an auction.
Mrs. Palmquist's Spanish 4 students recently had to solve clues related to the Las Meninas, a 1656 painting by Diego Velezquez featured in the Museo del Prado in Madrid. The scenario was that the painting had been stolen and was up for auction and the students had to solve clues, mostly in Spanish, to come up with number, word and directional combinations to open the locked box. There was 1 student group in 2nd period and 2 student groups in 7th period, and all 3 groups solved the puzzle successfully. The group from 2nd period solved the puzzle in the fastest time.
