Positive Semester in Review
As one semester of school concludes, it is always a good time to reflect on some of the positive events that took place. Treynor CSD and the Community of Treynor is full of great people providing a wonderful place to live and learn. Not only was excellence achieved in education, but many positive acts of kindness can be remembered.
December 17, 2014: Treynor Elementary Grade 5 class just finished their collection for the homeless babies at the Lydia House with 61 boxes of diapers....Kids helping Kids.

December 17, 2014: Shout out to our 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students for the service projects they were involved in this month. 2nd graders collected items for needy children, 3rd graders assisted a local food pantry, 4th graders worked with the Midlands Humane Society and 5th graders collected diapers for the Lydia House. Way to go Treynor Elementary School!

November 30, 2014: JTW Community Christmas event held for local residents. Local students provided musical talent and the 4-H students provided assistance to the Junior Treynor Women.
November 4, 2014: Treynor Basketball players and Cheerleaders host the local area Special Olympics for a fun event. It made such an impression on the Athletes that they have been spotted recently at a home basketball game. /vnews/display.v/ART/54593da482bdb?in_archive=1
October 24, 2014: Jak Knudsen, a fifth grade student at Treynor Elementary, was allowed to run a kickoff return in for a touchdown.

October 20, 2014: Treynor Community Outreach, an organization formed last spring to bring the community together, pairs up with local students to create Little Libraries:
September 19, 2014: During Homecoming Week, students performed various Pay It Forward projects, including serving the Veterans brunch, the installation of the Little Libraries around town, Zion Church food pantry stocking and organizing, planting a Dustin Bryant memorial tree, painting and cleaning at St. Paul Lutheran Church, painting a fence by the post office, helping Patty clean around the school, painting the school’s weight room, setting up and organizing for the Trophy Auction, and raking and clean-up at the East Park.
