3D Printer in Action
On October 17th, the 3D printer was delivered and installed at Treynor Jr./Sr. High School. A few staff and students were trained in the setup of the printer and the use of the required software. Mr. Nelson, High School Math and PLTW Digital Electronics Teacher, took on the task of creating the first print job. The boys' basketball team camcorder was missing its tripod adapter, so he set out to print a replacement. Watch the time-lapsed video of its creation (total print time was around 90 minutes). The next project will be printing an iPad stand that connects to the tripod and adapter.
This printer was purchased using grant money from Google.
